What each screen is for

One short answer per item in the menu. You will not see all of them: a screen
your role does not include is simply not in your menu.

Home

Where reception starts the day and comes back between tasks. It answers who is
next at the desk, what is broken or waiting, and who is in today. Fixes happen on
Home itself wherever possible, so you do not lose your place.

Schedule

The clinic's day, as a grid. Two questions: when is a particular person free, and
who can see this patient soonest. You book from here, and you cancel from here.

Schedule does not hold any settings. It reads working hours, absences and
services from where those are configured, and shows the result.

Patients

Every patient in the clinic. Search finds a person, and their record has two
sides: Patient info for contact details and identifiers, which is what
reception needs before a visit, and Timeline for the visit history, which is
what the doctor reads.

Medical staff

The people who deliver care, and their working hours. A staff record is what
makes somebody bookable. Whether that person can also log in is a separate thing,
handled under Users.

Services

What a patient can book, with a duration and a department each. A service also
carries the locations where it may be offered, and a state saying whether it is
bookable yet and, if not, what is missing.

Departments

The clinic-wide groupings your services fall into. Each has a colour, and that
colour is what you recognise on a booked appointment.

Clinic settings

Admin only, four pages:

  • General: the clinic's legal details, its currency and time zone, and the
    default booking and fee rules.

  • Locations: the places where patients are seen, and any rules that differ at
    one site.

  • Users: who can sign in.

  • Roles & Permissions: what a signed-in person may do.

My profile

Your own account: your name, your phone numbers and your language. Reached from
your name at the bottom of the menu. Everybody has one, whatever their role, and
it gives access to nothing except your own details.

Analytics

For admins. Five figures for a chosen period (bookings, estimated revenue,
cancellation rate, no-show rate, utilisation) and the panels behind them: who
booked through what, which departments and services carry the clinic, when the
busiest hours are, how many patients are new. It reads what already happened and
changes nothing. See What the Analytics figures mean.
