My profile is the page you keep about yourself. Everybody has one, whatever
their role, and it gives access to nothing except your own account.
Steps
Click your name at the bottom of the menu.
Choose My settings.
Click the pencil on the section head. The page turns into a form.
Change what you need, then Save. Cancel discards.
What you should see: the page back in reading mode with your new values.
What you can change
Field | Yours to change? |
First name, last name | yes, both required |
Phone | yes. You can hold more than one number, and the first is marked Primary |
Language | yes. English or French |
no. It is managed by the clinic's admins | |
Your role, and the clinic | no, shown for reference |
Why the email is locked
It is the address your invitation was sent to, and it is what identifies you
across the whole clinic. Changing it is an admin job, under Users.
Your name and phone appear in two places
If you are also in Medical staff, your name and phone are the same single
value on both pages. Change it here and the staff record changes with it.
What differs is who may change it: here, only you change your own. In Medical
staff, anybody with edit rights can change anybody's.
The language field does two things
It sets the language the product speaks to you in, and the language your
notifications will be written in. The page says so under the field, because a
language switcher that quietly also changed your messages would be a surprise.
The Language shortcut in the menu is the same field, not a separate display
setting. Change it in either place and both follow.
Note. Per-person notification language is not in effect yet. Only two
messages are sent today, a booking confirmation to the patient and a notice to
the staff member, and both go in the clinic's own language. For now this field
changes what you see on screen.
